if you're going to go to the trouble of putting a dana 44 in, go all the way and do a slip yoke eliminator kit. this will get rid of the slip yoke that slides into your t/case, and puts the slip in the driveshaft. use a dual cardan as well and now more driveline vibes when its lifted.
im almost 100% certain the yoke on a dana 44 is a 1310 style u-joint, while the dana 35c is smaller. i could be wrong. just my thoughts on it.
