if you have the dana 44 rear i would just go to national but if your looking to find one for a dana 35 good luck.  Ive called probably everyone in calgary that sells full spools and mini spools and no one carries one for a dana 30/35.  if you find some one who sells em let me know also i went to the gear center (pats) and they dont have em

Its cheaper to just remove the carrier and have a welder, weld the side gears up. I don't recommond this on a D35 though and I would suggest this only be done on a trail only rig. I've driven a few different trial rigs now with welded rears and I would not do it to something thats driven on the street for much more than just getting to and from the trails.

I don't know of any spools made for the 8.25".

Your best bet, if you aren't dd, is a Lincoln Locker.

If you go to the mall, you probably won't get in or out
of a parking stall with it this way!!

what is dd ? Daily driver?

Why would the Lincoln not be good?(can't be worse than a spool)

What is the price for one?

mini spool just replaces the spider gears and keeps the stock housing, full spool replaces the whole thing :)

Welding the diff has the same effect as installing a spool(except you have more $$$ in your pocket in the end). I don't reccommend either for a DD(daily driver) or semi-daily driver.

You can weld up a posi diff but its a bit of a waste. Find an open diff and then sell your posi, or find someone to trade.

if the posi is any good, i'd be more than happy to trade you.  i could even weld up the open carrier for you!

Same goes man...if you're diff's got 4.10's and the posi's in good shape I'll swap you for an open diff and get it all welded up for you.
