Well some people use 80's or 90's F-150 coil springs. I'm told it gets you about 3" of lift, but rides like arse because they are really stiff (meant for a fullsize truck with a V8 afterall)

How many inch's can you lift before you have to start changing other parts too? ie. control arms

Say from stock if I went with the Leaf springs from a S-10 then the front coil springs from a F-150 that would give me about 4 inch's in the rear and 3 inchs in the front (sound right?)   would I have the change anything else or can i just go to PNP and get rear leaf springs and front coil springs?

I'm goign to pnp on saturday so I might grab this stuff

what time are you going to the PNP? Also, you can go as high as 3 inches before changing things like LCA and sway links.
Just to let you know, it might be a tough time ripping out the rear leafs at a pnp. How is your stock leaf, at least the one on top? collapsed? if not, then you can leave that in your truck and replace the bottem ones if in a pinch.

Good luck, seems like your in a hurry to change the looks of your xj.

Lol Ya I am in a hurry, I want to get it ready and hopefully make that June event - I went to pnp and got Rear springs from a 89 Ranger just the two Help springs, will replace mine with those tomorrow, measured them and they are gunna fit, hope it will bring me up 2 inch above stock, but no garantee.  Got two front coil springs with 8 1/2 turns from a Grand Cherokee mid 90's style hope that gives me 1 1/2 above stock -    Then all I have to get is my tow hooks and I think i can do it.

Thanks for the info, once I get the cash Im goign to go to modern motors and get a 3 inch lift for like $500 bucks and that will be a probper lift, rather then me redneck'n it, but money's tight now so hopfully this works

You have the right springs, 8 turns with a small one on top
