f150 to zj
« on: June 02, 2009, 10:38:49 PM »
so I got really bored today and decided to see about this f150 "lift" just for giggles. It all started by a trip to the junkyard where I picked up some 79 f150 coils for 35 , an hour later and they were in the front of my zj they gave about 1.75 of lift the ride isn't that bad at all. If you got any questions ask away.

do it I'll even help you  ;) but don't forget I was the first one on this board to do it. Also you could use them in the front of  your 4.0 but it might be really bumpy

V6, the very early xj came with the gm 2.8L v6. it was like having two brake pedals. one slowed you down, and the other slowed you down even more.

Not nearly as good as the 4.0L was even AMC's 258 from the CJ would have been a better choice.

The 4cyl that was available that year only made about 5 or 10 less HP but got significantly better fuel economy.

Why do you ask? Have you got one?

No I don't have the 2.8L, but someone I know is looking at buying a 1985  2.8L wagoneer so I was asking just for information purposes.  Well they said its a V6, I am assuming it's the 2.8L
