Is building a rear steer rig hard, or is there a company that sells these. I haven't really read about it, only seen it in the mags. The major issue would be locking the rear up so it can drive straight when you want a normal set up.   I doubt you can just use a front axle in the rear because the gears would be reversed.

Check out the 4 Wheeler website under the rig build-ups, there is a guy, Wolf 359 or something building a buggy with rear steer.

Diamond Dave had rear steer in his first buggy,   Basically a Pump, Hand lever, and a piston to the rear axle.

He didn't have any way of telling when it was centred other than looking out at the back wheels.  Someone else too a die cutter to a part of the piston that didn't go into the ram, and installed a reed switch to light up a "centered" light on the dash.

Pretty wizzy stuff if you ask me.

Some rigs I've read about had a pin to lock the center when you didn't want the rear to steer.

I doubt any home built rear steer system would be legal though.

Na, should be fine if you only drive in reverse on the streets ;)
