Carburetor Mixture Screws...
« on: October 02, 2010, 05:07:18 PM »
I lent my 1976 F150 Highboy to a buddy who decided to take it upon him self to 'adjust' my carb. Upon getting it back it ran like crap! Coughing, sputtering, stalling ext.  so I asked him what he did. >:(

Long story short he over tightened the mixture screws (or something?) and now there both bent and don't seal or adjust properly! I've looked at Nappa, Canadian Tire, Bowness Auto, Town and Country Auto and a few other parts places but cannot find replacements anywhere.

So... does anyone know where I can find replacement mixture screws for a Motorcraft 2150 2bbl Carburetor??? ???

PS don't lend stuff to monkeys!!! >:(

Pick and pull has several 70's F150's. You might be able to get some screws off them.

I've got an almost new Motorcraft 4-barrel carb if you want to upgrade to something bigger? It's a 670cfm double-pumper but you would need a 4-barrel intake.

I'll have to try that out, thanks.

Would be a nice touch but sounds like more work and $$. Too many projects on the go atm and not enough space, time or money.  :P
