I don't think I would try to tap them just replace them, and remember they're metric and the bolts you are using should be too!

Dont bother trying to drill and tap a nutsert, there isn't enough "meat" there. Your best bet is to replace the nutsert, or weld a nut inside the frame rail but I don't think the "windows" are large enough to get a good bead.

Yeah buddy, I've got some extended rear swaybar links, all yours! Just let me know when you want them...they aren't going anywhere.

Thanks anyways joey but too late. Modern had a set in stock for a good price.

I tried to tap the nutserts and failed. They came loose inside the frame. I had some hexicoil so I tapped the frame anyways and installed that. The bolts held and are tight. Kind of sketchy but I have a back up plan.

Note: the drivers side came out just fine.

Plan A - I have some bolts, and I'm going to weld them to a washer then weld a piece of metal (3"s) to that washer. Then tie the end of the bolt to some bailing twine and fish each one through the frame holes. That way alls I have to do is stick a nut on them.

Anyways, here's what she looks like all together:

Just needs an alignment to cure some death wobble.

Can you hold off on your alignment until your new axles are ready?
