Canadian Tire Eliminator battery, we've always used them on our vehicles. Recently replaced mine with one. Good warranty.
Also has a good amount of CCA.

Love Song...

Red Top Optima. It's served duty in 3 vehicles now with no hiccups.

Do you do a lot of winching? Have a powerful stereo with amps and subs? Do you sport a plethora of lights?

Usually a Canadian Tire battery that's rated for your vehicle will suffice. They've got a great warranty.

Tahnks,  Might go with the Canadian Tire option,  but who in town sells Optima...?   Thought I saw some years ago in  a Walmart... might have been down south...  Thanks for the help.

Pretty sure Walmart still has them.

Interstate off barlow SE sells and warranties Optima.

Modern and N4WD don't.  at least they claimed they didn't when I needed warranty service and had to take mine to Interstate.

i have a dead red top with 8 years of service and one with 3.5 years in for warranty.  new optimas since 2009 though only have max 3 year free replacement, no more pro-rated warranty.  only the red tops are 3 years, the rest of the lineup are less.

Another option:

Odyssey's are expensive...but they offer an 8 year warranty. You can get them at AND batteries in the industrial park near where Modern and National are. Northstars are the same battery apparently - and they cost about the same too.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Also, depending on the type of wheeling you do, the Optima batteries are sealed type so if you happen to tip over/flip over, the battery acid will not escape. In fact, you can run an Optima battery in any position you want e.g. on its side. Although an unlikely event that you end-up upside down and the acid drips onto you or other vehicle components, I run a Yellow Top Optima just in case.
