I may have missed this but...
How do we get copies of the poster? I need two as I'm hitting up the Blind Monk pub in Royal Oak and downtown. Also is there an updated 'wish list' or is someone working on this with the hospital?

if you can't wait, save the poster on cd or memory stick and take it to staples to print a few off.
someone said they were going to try and contact the hospital for an updated list.

Dom, we also need someone to spend $500 from our club for this.
You and Bonnie did it last year, can you (meaning Bonnie mostly) do it again this year?

From the ACH :

some of the things that we tend to be short on at Christmas are the teenage gifts or toys. A lot of times those are the kids that get forgotten about when people donate to the Childrens Hospital. If you wanted to purchase some things for the teenage group some ideas are:

Movies/Movie Passes
Music CD's
Inexpensive MP3 Player's
System Games (xbox, Wii, etc)
Gift cards to Clothing stores(Urban Planet, Gap, Lasenza etc)
Small hand held games
Board Games
PJ's
Cosmetics
Ball Caps/Purses/Accessories
Novels, Books

We are also in need of food gift card to add to the hampers. Superstore, Safeway, Coop, Sobeys etc.

Anything you and your group are able provide will be greatly appreciated.

Hope this helps, and thank you for your support!

I got a few posters up at Partsource, AutoValue, Quality Tools all in the 17th & 52nd St SE locations and 1 up at the Smokehouse Diner on Ogden Rd SE. Just a few places I frequent to help get the word out.

scratch the dealership idea, I talked to 2 of them today, and they both said they had another fundraiser going and "it would be a bad idea to have conflicting donation bins"

bah :(

I need to check with corporate relations people, but I am going to see if I can get some/all of the Best Buy or Future Shop stores involved.  No promises as there is a lot of red tape with promotional stuff for us, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

At the very least I might be able to get some of the individual stores to contribute.

I've got a couple of stores that are willing to pitch in some stuff.  Also the Northland Mall Best Buy said they would put a donation bin at the front of the store.  Let me know what needs to go in and I will get it setup.

The dealerships have an association that runs it's own charity collection but not all dealers are part of it.  I will try and get a box at my work, I had one when I was at Stampede for several years and they would top it up if customers did not donate alot.  Way to go CJA and everyone who is stepping up.  I was afraid this was going to become like the Chritmas Parade which Calgary no longer has (we are the only major city in Canada without one).

I hope this is ok but I am going to create a thread for the poster only.  I am posting a link to the event in facebook as the image is not big enough to read detail and I can link it to here.  The folks I know on facebook are not wheelers but do own 4x's and might come out and support the run.
