Chris,
its been a while. It seems that most 4x4 runs are now on Saturdays....i work.
My rubi is for sale. i have not agressively tried to sell it but i will by the end of this month. i have my 97TJ still so i am going to build it. After messing around with lift combos, i think i now have it figured out. The rubi works well on almost any trail but

most of my wheelin buddies are doing stupider and sicker stuff so.....its chop, cut and spend on the rubi or start again with the 97TJ.
My plan is to run 40" MTR's with 1 ton running gear and Chevy 350. i will stretch the wheelbase to about 104, comp cut the rear end, remove entire front fenders and build tube style fender/exo. Keep the cog very low and still allow the jeep to be street legal. This won't happen this year as i am collecting parts to do it. Also, i am hooked on racing in the CMRC Provincial Hare Scramble series. i just ordered a 2006 KTM 450EXC with lots of extras.
Wheelin will be on hold for a year unless i am lucky enough to find an extra passanger seat.
DaChopper,
That is true that a RE3.5 is like a 4 in other brands. Good point. i think 2" with bumpstops is plenty for 33's if running 3.75bs on the rims. 4 is more but not necessary and costs more to do it. There are lots of ways to do it, i agree
On
www.rubiconownersforum.com there are lots of guys with very small lifts running 33, 35 and 37's on less than i ever imagined. That is what woke me up to the possibilities.
Tom
