I made a set years ago. They were a pain to get done up(comapared to bought ones anyway) and never were quite tight enough. If you cann'y afford a set just replace the locknuts on the threaded top portion of the link with regular nuts and lube the threads often. Then just keep a wrench handy to back them off and then spin the nuts off.

You can also look at this,

Or check out www.naxja.org for ideas

I don't condone the use of home made disconnects, as personally I feel you would be safer and best off buying a decent set, that's manufactured to spec... But for a temporary solution, that link is pretty straight forward. Even the suggestion Clay gave you is good, unless you snap the tops off trying to unbolt them :) If you ran with the above link, I'd carry extra clevis pins in your glove box, and add a washer on the end of the pin prolong its life. Perhaps even talk to a welder on here to get them to tack it on to make the head a bit larger so it doesn't try to suck through the hole.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

I built something likethat once. After a while the spring clips got all bent out of shape as they would get stuck in the pin.

I use the 4" long carpenters lag bolt? At least that what I think they are called.
A long hex bolt. Threads on the end, and the shank is not threaded. I think they come in Gr5 and even Gr8. Though, they are awful long to be of any use as Gr8.

Basically, cut the hex head off, drill a hole thru the shank for a cotter-pin, using two nuts, one on either side of the axle mount, tighten, viola. You now have a pin/stud to slide the eye on the lower end of the sway-bar link on.

It would seem your link is dead.  :(

How much lift do you have? I have a pair I'll give you for $10. I think they do 2-4" lift, just shoot me a pm.

The lift used to be about 2". She has settled since. And my rig is no longer my daily driver. So I'm pretty happy with my Home Depot disconnects!
Thanks tho.

halfcRoOk could use em for $10, they'll be cheaper than his tubing setup.
