I don't condone the use of home made disconnects, as personally I feel you would be safer and best off buying a decent set, that's manufactured to spec... But for a temporary solution, that link is pretty straight forward. Even the suggestion Clay gave you is good, unless you snap the tops off trying to unbolt them
If you ran with the above link, I'd carry extra clevis pins in your glove box, and add a washer on the end of the pin prolong its life. Perhaps even talk to a welder on here to get them to tack it on to make the head a bit larger so it doesn't try to suck through the hole.
