if you are going to go through all the trouble of swapping a 4l 6cyl in there, 33s and the 4.10s you have should be fine.  but if you went bigger than 33s ya, but at that point you will have issues because the rear D35 isn't the greatest axle in the world...........

if you plan to stay with the 4cyl, 4.88s would be great too

There's no call for that sort of potty mouth, noel.  ;D
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I totally agreed with Johnny.  I did this exact swap with my YJ.  I decided to put in a 4L instead and stayed with the 4.10s.

I am still on 33s and I will not be going bigger.  My engine is getting starting to get tired now so driving at highway speeds of anything greater than about 105 I am shifting a lot between 4th and 5th.  I would do the motor swap as you will be fine with 4.10s and 33s and then figure out what size tire you can to go up to.

Johnnys on 35s and 4.56s I believe
