EMF BUILT HEMI TJ
« on: November 16, 2011, 09:29:34 AM »
Okay so some of u may know this rig it has  a little history of being everywhere and never done... well we finished it

this was one of 3 tj kits that where done wayv back when... one is on erins tj, one is on jamies old jeep and one is finally here

someone at a shop somewhere convinced the owner that he could drop a hemi into a tj and still use this kit.....  Well rear driveshaft woulda never worked...

so clay had to extended the links add hydro assist and just in general make this thing eat the rock course(those pictures are on his camera)

]it was one cool rig when done and the owner was smiling form ear to ear...

this was done about 6 months back

Curious as to why you chose a radius arm set up over a 3 link? And the rear radius set up over a triangulated 4?

Nice truss work as usual.

Now go out and draw 2 parrallel lines in the snow, about ten feet long and ten feet apart like this: I    I.

And then see if the jeep can drive from one line across the other under it's own power, that will be a real feat for that jeep.

I'm pretty sure EMF did the suspension work years ago before the Hemi went in.

yes clay did and when it left the shop it was working but when u throw a hemi in and tell the owner drive shafts will be same length.....

oh and this is the exact same kit thats on erins tj (dont ask)  and also on Jamies old tj which is now owned by little dave and is mean and flexy....(had it in the rock course a few month back)

i am sure he still has everythign for the kit... i know where erins kit is.... i could talk to him for sure...

this was a emf built tj long arm kit...

oh and this jeep that cant drive betwen parrelle lines was through our rock course with clay driving and the owner driving and went out on august long i do believe( or was it september)

overall this rig was a gong show i think everyone in the city had a hand on it but in the end it left our shop working awesome and finished

That thing should have been put to rest years ago. Multiple nervous brake downs, numerous burned bridges and years of cashed in RRSP's for that. I wonder if it was really worth it...

That's the world's most expensive TJ right there folks.

Where's the rope ladder for the little guy? or did Clay custom fab a hydro assist elevator for him?

Wonder if he's still cruisin past the high schools trying to impress the young ladies?

Hahaha!

lol cablesmurf u hit it right on the head there..... the suspension works awesome the engine is a boat anchor in my opinion... but that could be all the front wheel burnouts at another shop... it couldnt do a front dig with just the front hoked up drivin into the shop...

and answers to questions probally still cruizin and no elevator or hydro assit  stairs
