Great, the gas prices are already $0.20/liter higher than they were last year when oil was over $65/barrel.  How much profit do the refiners have to make until OPEC is deleted.  Why is the US paying on average $1-1.25 USD less than we are for gas with roughly the same amount of gas tax?  It doesn't make any sense.

Since I'm feeling picky tonight.
According to gasbuddy.com  US $2.84 per gallon,   can $1.10 L

1 US gallon = 3.8 L
therefore aprox.  US $0.75 liter   =can 85 cents per liter

difference  25 cents a liter   1 imp gall = 4.5 liters

Therefore  the difference is only $1.12 per imperial gallon.

Awww crap,I guess I'm gonna lose this argument
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

The anticipated increase in demand, due to more highway driving, as we enter the spring and summer holiday travel season will soon provide an excuse to continue to raise the price at the pump.  I noted three stations on 14th ST this morning and prices ranged from $1.06 to $109.5. I would not be surprised to see prices in the $1.10+ range by the weekend.

Time to look at alternate fuels.

If I can afford it, I would go Toyota Prius, or buy a used 80's bmw, pull the engine and gasoline bits, and convert it to full electricity. And leave my warpig for the weekends. Especially at $1+/L. I get 350km per tank in the city.

"experts" announced yesterday they think it'll hit $1.30 this summer here... $1.50 in BC...

I wish the "experts" would announce a drop to $.50.... maybe the gas stations will follow THOSE numbers too

Maybe you guys want to look at vehicles that are cheaper to run overall, not just at the pumps.

You may be a bit surprised at which vehicle is the most cost effective to operate from design to disposal.

For those of us living in Alberta, don't forget to deduct 6 - 10% of  all purchases that are eligible for PST in other provinces, from your fuel costs.
