JKS DISCO ISSUE
« on: May 03, 2012, 10:14:15 PM »
So I've had the JKS Discos on my TJ for about 6 months and now that I have my lift kit on I need to extend them so that the sway bar is at 10*.  However, when I took them off do so, they wouldn't budge...  I soaked them in liquid wrench, but still nothing.  Has anyone had this issue, or have some hints on how loosen them up?
Thanks

what do you mean? like the jam nut is stuck or you simply can't thread it at all to lengthen it? I've been running mine just over a year, and mine are great, can spin them by hand.

did you try this?

Jam nut spun, but can't thread to lengthen...without something to clamp the little suckers to it aint easy getting a good grip...any suggestions...
Also do you park the tj inside? Mines only been in a garage when being worked on, possible that the discos are more weathered and maybe even rusted... :-\

10* is only the correct angle for STOCK. The correct answer is 0* (parallel with the ground) when the suspension in the middle of it's travel. I'll text you about using my strong arm (well, maybe I'll use my left just to be different) to spin your QD.

So what is the correct angle for a 3" lift?

Measure your up and down travel, jack your jeep until you are in the middle of it's travel, set sway bar parallel to the ground.
