TMR Customs Rod Ends
« on: November 08, 2012, 03:38:00 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with TMR Customs and there rod ends?

Going to link the Jeepster in the not too distant future and rod ends are on my short list.

Can’t really find any info on them anywhere, either that or I’m just to daft to find any.

They seem to be the same priced as the Ruff Stuff ends and they ship from Canada so no customs BS

Just don’t want to go into these blind and get burned in the long run.

I am well aware of that fact. And i wish i could afford to do emf for all my joints. Sadly i only have the budget to use them for my steering setup.

no clue how their ends are, but the customer service there is fantastic. Have ordered some gussets from there in the past along with other small items and never been let down in terms of customer service...
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

they are good, just like any other rod end out there, but for mud and for example brag creek conditions rods are not the best choice. go with a johnny joint the currie ones they have are rebuildable and will hold up good. as for EMF joints they are expensive but damn good and made in Canada. Heep how do they hold up to mud? if i'm not mistaken they are rebuildable as well correct?

i will give u A PROMISE IF U BUY THEM LAST SET U WILL EVER BUY...  if they manage to get play all u do is tighten them back up... and if u happen to need it we also sell rebuild kits that consist of two new cups and a new ball(for around 20 bucks)....  hold up awesome in any conditions.. arent noisy and loose as hell as most joints... clay has some really tight tolerances if they dont meet them they go in the scrap pile...

he has yet to have a faliure ... a few bent stems but thats in the warner brother ultra 4 rig and usually there is alot of damage to other parts... recently they ripped all there front links off no damage to any rod end....

i do believe the tmr's are ruff stuff rod ends they are distrubuting for them....

also another point most large rod ends out there are comparable to emf mediums....  if not smalls... our larges and franks are crazy....

our mediums in a link system for a jeep are gonna be overkill....

we had a small in a track bar(before the new patent pending joints) in a dodge 3500 with 6 inch lift guy had to tightent them 6 times probaly coulda got more outta them but he came in with 70000 on it and we replaced the inners with the new 4140 cups and ball and sent him on his way and he is oilfield in the far north...

the best way to look at it is if u have to buy two sets of tmr's which your gonna have to cause they are gonna make mad noise eventually u got yourself a set of emf's

we also offer bushing joints in both a weldable and in a body with our own durometer poly bushings....

just some food for thought dont want people wasting there money on junk when there is a bad arse alternative local to them....

I'm going to go ahead and assume that I will see a good contribution to the Show and Shine this year from EMF.

I gave up holding my breath on that one. Same with the D44 high steer arms.

see i look at it completley differnet then most...  if u wanna wait wait if u dont go buy some crap product your gonna pay for and then replace it then rinse and repeat over and over again... we are only three people me clay and erin and one lathe and we are fine with keeping up on our orders and keeping the paying not complaining customers happy... wallace international, tucker sno cats, and mine cat are all happy to wait cause in the end they get a product far superior to anything on the market....  the ball joints will be done soon just waiting on more money to buy new tooling to solve the problems every other aftermarket company is having...  its a right to have a emf product on your rig... and the people that run them understand this completley...

plus cant release them till he is sure they fall under the new patent cause that would be stupid to put something out there for everyone else to copy...

I don't think that's what Fraser was referring to.

I think that he was talking about the fact that an EMF employee is pimping EMF products and referring to the item asked about as a "crap product"...in a thread that isn't asking about EMF products. All of this is happening on a board that is partially supported by sponsorships from local businesses....but I don't think that EMF is one of the businesses that has started sponsoring us yet.

Can you see where he might have a question about what's being said?
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

" board that is partially supported by sponsorships from local businesses"

this board is not supported by any sponsorship and never has been.  this board is supported by the membership fees.  the only thing these adds are here for is to thank the companies for supporting the 101 or show n shine.  I don't believe much has changed in the past year or two.

this is also tech talk so yes, anyone can tell the OP this item is crap or that item is good.  as for hyping up EMF... I don't know anyone who runs emf stuff nor have I ever seen anything on the shelf.  I took a part in once and two weeks later it was still sitting on the counter where I set it down.  we call this vaporware.

I banned heep-a-lop but was asked not to, was told EMF would speak with him and tell him to stfu about this stuff on this forum.  it never happened like everything else EMF.

heep-a-lop  - unless you have something in hand to show us... please get lost.
