LS 2 5.3 swap in progress
« on: July 03, 2017, 11:49:57 AM »
I am looking for someone who has done this and has some experience with the wiring. I am looking to keep the jeep ECM to run the gauges and the chev ECM to run the engine. Has anyone got some detailed info on jow to do this or know where I can get it? Thanks for any and all input!
PS: I have talked to Novak and they are 12 weeks after receipt of my harness. I'm hoping for some new info and local talent.

It means Novak has a back log of 12 weeks to build a compatible harness for the swap.

Ahh...I get it.   Novak are the experts on this stuff, been to their place and have met the guy who does the harness.  Locally, the Broken Axle guys put a small block in a jeep a couple of years ago with excellent results.

Are you keeping the jeep Trans?  What Jeep?  Are you keeping the 5.3 factory fuel injection or going after market or carb? Has the  Gm harnesss been gone through yet?  Do you still have the Jeep harness and PCM?

It was a while ago but I think Rick said if they had to do it again, he would ditch the jeep computer and dash and replace everything. I guess even with the new harness getting everything to play together was a huge pain.
