Anyone interested in a light run after the show and shine. And possibly Sunday as well (provided the Jeep's still running)?

Hey da chopper

I am going to guess that CJ-7 prefers Mclean as it closer to the city, and the roads are paved all the way till you get to the parking lot. It is more realistic to go to maclean if you just want to do a shorter day.

Less time on the highway means less gas and more time on the trails.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

no local boys want to show us around,

We should have 4 or more jeeps coming down.

for Saturday we are still in Limbo, now leaning towards Mclean Creek.

We will be meeting up at the Show and Shine around 12 or 1 hopefully and then going from there.

Either place is good for me, since we'd probably have to come back to town for gas anyways. We could try to do 1 day at each place maybe, get a feel for both.

Anoyne recommend any trails? I went out last week and tried to run a trail that a stocker could do in 1 hr (before the floods)...I spent 3 hrs winching before I turned around.

Any good ideas for places I can take some out of towners?

Hey Joey, how about Fisher West, good hard packed access and then rocky climb over the crest, descend to Silvester which is also a good road and continue onto Quirk Ridge Trail.   You could return the same way or try Fish Creek West, Elbow Trail was blocked last time I was out there (V-days).  Hell, I might even join you dudes, yeah I hate deep mud as well   .

Tom, would be cool to have another "semi-veteran" out there :) I hate being the guy responsible for leading the crew down a trail, where we run out of gas, food and water...Atleast this way, we can share the liability

Its friggin weird out there...Rutted sections have been filled with silt and flattened...Flat section someone how a river running thru them and now have Jeep sized rutts that seem to have appeared out of no-where...
