ZJ 4WD Switch
« on: January 21, 2007, 04:42:04 PM »
The on board computer in my 93 ZJ beeps once in a while, moslty on longer trips and says "Service 4WD Switch". Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? My 4wd works great in high and low. Could it just be a sensor? If so where is it?

 Thanks

Did you search jeepsunlimited.com?  I remember reading about this before.  If I recall correctly it's just got something to do with the computer and doesn't necssarily indicate that something is wrong.

I've heard that the switch could be tripped by low fuids in TC. I would check that first.

To find the switch, look from he drivers side near the top of the Transfer case, should have 4 wires. I'd check the wires first, then replace the part.
