Axles are gear oil - 75 or 80w90 GL-5, I just use regular dino oil.  Both will take a little over 1 litre, 3 litres will do you good.  However, if you have a limited slip in the D35, you will have to go to the dealership and grab some $10-15 friction modifier for the diff

T-Case uses ATF, Dexron III or better, about 1.5 litres

if you're going to crack open your diffs to change fluids. then maybe take the few extra minutes to change your rear axle seals. if they arent leaking then leave them but if they have a hint of seepage then change them both out. the fronts arent easy to change so dont worry about them unless they are badly leaking. if your extension housing seal is leaking on your t-case(most np231's leak at this seal) then change it too. no point putting new fluids in when they will just leak out. if you know you're going to keep the fluids in there for a while then check out synthetic fluids. much nicer on everything, especially in winter.
