I'd really like to thank the CJA members who dropped everything during the clean up to help out in the rescue efforts of... well... me

So glad to hear you guys are ok.

That trail is bad enough that it has claimed a lot of jeeps and parts. The last thing in the world we would want to see is it start claiming wheelers.

Definately a story for the history books for yourself and your freinds.

And I am betting, a new found respect for that IG trail :wink: :wink: :wink:

...and thanks to CJA for the aide. My call into Dom on Monday morn gave us the first real breaks in news: CJA members were already in the area, and the trail was run the day before --forecast that the trail was passable in the last 48 hours.

For the 2 that did make it in on the North end for us, I owe ya both a XL DD at our next coffee meet!

Luxton, glad you made it out

Sorry we could not get to you.... but RockyRD and myself just about got in a pickle ourselves.

15 min after we got onto the trail... i slid into a rut and took out a rim and blew the bead on that tire tire... one spare down. We got to about 1km away from the imfamous D35 wall, ( which i still have yet to see :cry: ) and RockyRD blew a bead, had another tire leaking and to boot his portable compressor died. so both down a tire and the tj getting low on gas and after some serious thought we turned back and headed out.

I also wanted to thank all CJA members I talked to this past weekend, thanks for letting myself and Melanie join your crew. She learn't a lot and we both had a blast (only crunched one fender :lol: )
