i need to weld to new shock monts  on the rear alx on my jeep  any one done this befor  ? any info would help   thanks

Well I've never done it on a Jeep but I'm guessing you're going to want some sort of twin shear mount and locate it towards the bottom or center of the axle tube to help with axle wrap.

Modern sells cheap shock mounts that fit on most axles. Measure carefully flexed and un-flexed that the rangeof travel the shock will go through, it is very important that the shock neither bottom out or top out.  If either of the above happens your shock mount will break off the axle.
