Best rust/penetrating oil?

What's the best one?? Want to adjust steering stops but crazy rust, also going to heat the crap out of them. Any suggestions? :)

I've been using Release-All for a long time.  Seems to work quite well and it's more bio friendly too

50/50 mix of auto tranny fluid and acetone was rated better than any off the shelf product.

^^I have never known a penetrating oil to ever really solve issues, they just make the doable easier. Off the shelf PB blaster is my favorite but I'm definitely going to give the tranny fluid and acetone a try...luckily not a lot of rust or stuck bolts on my 04  ;D

I should add the most useless one i tried was liquid wrench, but its not like I have an objective method of proving which oils are better

for off the shelf products, I've had good luck with both PB blaster and Liquid Wrench.

I actually prefer Liquid Wrench since it's non toxic/wont catch fire, so you can heat and spray at the same time all you want.

I've never tried it but will mix it and use a refillable WD40 spray bottle to apply it.

Heat it up with a torch. Take one of your wifes/girlfreinds/roommates fancy candles and melt it all over the threads. Spin out by hand.

We use this trick on rusted heavy equipment under caraige all the time.

i've never met a bolt i couldn't get out using WD 40...........

Hmm, I have not had such luck with good old wd.  Its actually Water Dispacement (trial #40).  But for cleaning up old metal it works great.

i've heard many people have not had success with WD40. i've never had a problem with it.  i would like to attribute it to the qualities of said product, but its most likely due to my massive muscles, and ability to input such forces to said bolt via ratchet.


all though air tools are nice............................. ;)
