jk sway bar disconnects, Yes or no?
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:28:46 PM »
Should I be adding a diy jk sway bar disconnects? I am a easy going wheeler with a stock jk and need the jk for a everyday driver as well. Looks easy to instal and upgrade too. Would like some feed back on stock jeeps with them!

Thanks

Great I looked into it and say the jks are a easy install and user friendly thinking of those ones might work

As the driver of a JKU Rubicon, I can tell you that I use the Sway Bar disconnect way more often than the lockers.  Go for it.

Not sure how its set up on a JK but we zip tie my brothers Jks disconnects up on his XJ through a hole in the frame rail. Use metal zip ties though as the plastic ones tend to break

Don't they come with storage pins you put on the frame like the TJ's?

Or a couple bolts put through the sheet metal work as well... Use a washer and a 2nd nut to hold it on.. But yes, should have come with pins.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...
