advice needed

ok i have a set of 33x12.5R15 and was wondering if they would fit on the stock rims with the stock suspension. would there be any problems with the drivetrain? for a 2003 jeep tj with a inline 6  and 5 spd manual

you will want 15x8 rims at minimum. Stocks are likely 15x7. 33's will rub a lot with no lift. Just ask Chris/Elsifer. 3-4" lift recommended. T-case drop or better yet a SYE and a new DS needed to correct driveline angles or else you get wicked vibes. Better start saving up man, its a slippery expensive  slope you are going down.

the largest tire that i could put on my 04 jeep sport was 31.5x10.5x15r i believe and i had no problems at the trailer clean up in waiparous

As well as the rubbing issue 33” may be to large of a tire without a gear change. I have 31” with 307 gears and its ok but not great, 5th is not much use without a tail wind. The bigger the tire the higher numeric gears you will want. Ask Greg / Apex what he thinks of 33" tires and 307s.

Oh, and not to forget the brake lines,  yearly hub swaps, fan clutches, steering boxes, pinion seals, driveshafts and ujoints. Besides that insignificant little stuff... you'll be fine. Infact, you should go to 35's because you are going to be running those eventually anyways.

Blair ...What is this talk about 5th gear? Never heard of it, i don't know what you are talking aboot.

yea thats what i was thinking but i think my clutch is burnt out takes alot more time to engage and she is also really fussy moving forward in first and extreamly fussy moving in reverse i am thinking that it is the cutch disc is burn out and needs a new one what do you guys think? and if so how many of you guys have replaced a clutch in a jeep tj with the 5 spd manual? may correction WILL need help to do it

Your 03 already needs a new clutch, wow.  If you have the 30" tire package you will have 8" rims which will be fine.  Also if that is the case, you will have 3.73 gears which will be okay with 33s.  I know guys on 35s with 3.73.

If you want to fit 33s cheaply, 2" body lift ($150), plus 2" coil spacers and shocks ($300-500), then you will be done.

See Bill (bnine) if you want someone to do your clutch. His price is alot  beter than the dealership rate. I just had a dealership do mine and it was over $1,100.
